Ammon News - Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have foiled an attempt to smuggle 650,000 drug pills via a cargo vehicle at one of the border crossings, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said on Friday.

AND personnel received a tip-off about the intention of a group of persons to smuggle the pills to a neighboring country, and searched the vehicle loaded with building blocks.

After searching the vehicle, the spokesperson said, the agents found the pills inside the blocks, adding that the investigation into the incident is still underway.
