Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, congratulated the Libyan national unity government for winning the vote of confidence by the Libyan the House of Representatives.

Safadi stressed the importance of this step on the path of the targeted political process to resolve the Libyan crisis and restore Libya's security and stability.

He added that the Kingdom will continue to stand by Libya, supporting all efforts to reach a political solution that protects Libya and its capabilities and meets the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people for peace, security and stability.

He expressed the Kingdom's wishes for the Libyan government to succeed in managing the transitional phase until holding the elections scheduled for December 24, 2021, and handing over powers to the elected government in accordance with the roadmap for a political solution approved by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, which was sponsored by the United Nations.

He also valued all international and regional efforts that contributed to pushing for progress in the political solution to the crisis in Libya, and efforts of all Libyan parties that have prioritized the national interest to end the crisis, achieve security and stability, and meet the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people.
