Jordan takes part in Qatar military drill

Ammon News - The "Impregnable Guard" military exercise kicked off on Tuesday in Qatar for the third year in a row, with a Jordanian participation.

The three-week military drill will be led by the Qatari Joint Special Forces, with the participation of the United States of America, Turkey, Pakistan, Morocco, Italy, Rwanda, and Qatar.

The exercise aims to enhance military cooperation and exchange of expertise between participating forces, acquire skills in the field of special operations and counter-terrorism, and enhance maritime security through securing territorial waters protection, Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) operations, in addition to air infiltration and free jumping operations.

During the drill, joint military scenarios and exercises will be implemented that contribute to training participating forces to face various security threats and challenges.

The "Impregnable Guard" military exercise 2021, which is carried out annually, is part of the security measures undertaken by Qatar to host the 2022 World Cup.
