Ammon News - A slight drop in mercury levels is forecast on Sunday, but the weather will be sunny and fair in most parts of the Kingdom, and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
On Monday, temperatures are tipped to dip further, making relatively cold weather in most regions, and mild conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with low-altitude clouds in the northern and central areas, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to active at times, the JMD added.
A tangible rise in mercury levels is expected on Tuesday, becoming 3-5 degrees above their annual average and bringing again warm conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, and pleasant weather in other regions, with clouds at various altitudes and southeasterly light winds, the forecasters predicted.
Temperatures in Amman today will reach a high of 19C, dropping to 7C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 25C, dipping to 14C during night hours.
