The Palestine Parliamentary Committee on Saturday lauded statements of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, during his interview with Jordan TV, on the Kingdom's firm positions towards Arab issues, especially the Palestinian cause, Jerusalem, and Islamic and Christian holy sites.

Head of the committee, MP Mohammad Al Thahrawi, said the Kingdom's position is firm and solid under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, in defending the Palestinian cause and holy sites, and its support by the brotherly Palestinian people who have been suffering for decades due to the Israeli occupation.

Al Thahrawi added that the King's efforts has restored momentum towards the Palestinian cause in all Arab and international forums, stressing the importance of the historic Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Holy Jerusalem).

He pointed out that Amman is the twin of Jerusalem and its conscience and has never been absent from the hearts of the Hashemites and Jordanians.

He renewed the Committee's rejection of the brutal Israeli occupation policies and practices towards the brotherly Palestinian people, and all unilateral measures that affect Islamic and Christian holy sites and the rights of the Palestinian people, which constitute a blow to international law, international legitimacy decisions and human rights charters.
