Obeidat : Outpatient clinics in public hospitals in governorates shutdown

Minister of Health, Nathir Obeidat, on Saturday said that outpatient clinics in the ministry's hospitals of Al-Bashir, Jamil Al-Totanji, Al-Salt, Al-Hussein, Al-Zarqa, Prince Faisal and Al-Nadim, in the governorates of Amman, Al-Balqa, Al-Zarqa, and Madaba, will be shutdown as of Sunday, until further notice.

According to a ministry statement, health service provided to citizens in these hospitals will be limited to receiving emergency cases and dispensing monthly medicines for chronic diseases only.

Also, according to the statement, the programmed operations are canceled due to the epidemiological situation and the hike in the Coronavirus (Covid-19) infections, and the decision to be resumed or amended according to the epidemiological situation.

The Ministry called on citizens to cooperate and understand the epidemiological situation, which requires caution in order to achieve the public interest.
