Deputy PM urges public to abide by defense orders

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister, in charge of local administration and interior ministry, Tawfiq Krishan, on Thursday stressed the necessity of abiding by defense orders, mainly to comprehensive and partial curfew, as the stiffest actions will be taken against violators.

The minister’s remarks came during a meeting via teleconference with local governors, instructing them to ensure public compliance with the defense orders by carrying out random visits to self-quarantined people, in implementation of the Royal Directives that affirm ensuring the highest levels of public health and safety.

Talks during the meeting also tackled the prevention of holding wedding parties or any type of social gatherings that exceed 20 people, and make certain that preventive measures of wearing masks and social distancing are being taken nationwide to curb the spread of the virus.
