Ammon News - Police has arrested two Arab nationals, who killed their compatriot, missing for nearly two months.
In a press statement, the media spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said the police were notified two days ago from a person of an Arab nationality that his brother residing in Amman has gone missing and contact with him was cut off nearly two months ago.
The victim's brother said he came to Jordan a few days ago to search and report his absence, the PSD official said, adding a special investigation team was "immediately" formed to follow up on the investigation into that person's disappearance.
Investigations and information collected about the missing person signaled a murder, leading to nabbing the killer who is a compatriot to the victim, the spokesperson noted.
During interrogation, the killer admitted to attacking the victim nearly two months ago, while he was inside his house on the grounds of a previous dispute, the PSD said.
The victim, who defended himself, sustained deadly stabs, as the killer then contacted another compatriot who assisted him in transporting the body and hiding it, the spokesperson added.
The accomplice was also arrested, the victim's phone was seized in the possession of a suspect who was apprehended, and the case will be referred to the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court, the PSD pointed out.
