Ministry, USAID to launch 2nd phase of ESMP project

Ammon News - Officials from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Tuesday met online to discuss the launch of the second phase of "Enhancing School Management and Planning" project which enters its third year, according to a ministry statement.

The project aims to improve the school management and planning processes and the quality of school environments in the Kingdom. The ESMP is designed to enhance the planning, oversight, operation, and maintenance capabilities of the Ministries of Education (MoE) and MPWH.

It also seeks to improve cross-ministry cooperation by establishing an electronic system to follow up on projects, starting from studies and design through construction and use.

During the Zoom-powered meeting, Shaun McNally, Chief of the ESMP Project at Kaizen, the company carrying out the project, highlighted the achievements made in the previous phases of the project and outlined this year's agenda.
