Jordan's dam storage increased to 141.370mcm, by 42%-water

Ammon News - The Minister of Water and Irrigation, Mutassim Saedan, said the dams' total reservoir rose on Saturday, to 141.370 million cubic meters, with a storage rate of 42.02%.

The dams' storage in the same period last year amounted to 166.09mcm, or 49.37%, he said in a press statement.

Saedan added that 3.055,mcm were channeled to the Kingdom's dams since last Friday, February 19, while the total quantity channeled over the past 72 hours reached 8.857mcm.

The water quantities channeled to the dams since the beginning of the rainy season reached 50.483mcm, the minister said.

King Talal Dam has received the highest water quantities over the past 72 hours, which amounted to 5.22mcm, he noted.
