Government tightens penalties for violators of self-quarantining

Ammon News - Interior Minister Samir al-Mubaideen, on Friday, chaired a meeting with administrative governors of Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, and Jerash to discuss issues related to self-quarantining and preventive measures as stipulated under the approved health protocol.

The move came in light of the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom, as al-Mubaideen urged the governors to follow up on all self-quarantined people at their homes to ensure compliance.

Any violators of self-quarantining, the minister stressed, will be forced to complete the quarantine period in a field hospital, adding that after ending the isolation period and under the governor's orders the violators will be referred to the judiciary to take the necessary legal action against them.
