PM urges multi-stakeholder coordination in current weather conditions

Ammon News - Prime Minister Bishr Khasawneh on Wednesday directed all competent ministries, institutions and agencies to ensure full and close coordination in the current weather conditions.

Chairing the Cabinet's weekly meeting, the prime minister gave orders to all ministers and officials to intensify their field inspections and ensure all measures are in place to protect the safety of citizens and ensure the provision of basic needs.

Also in today's meeting, the Cabinet reviewed recommendations submitted by a committee assigned to formulate a plan to respond to the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic on the housing sector and help it recover. The Cabinet mandated the Housing and Urban Development Corporation to take the necessary measures to implement the recommendations in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Cabinet okayed settlements the Income and Sales Tax Department had reached with a total of 639 individual and corporate taxpayers.
