Ammon News - Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, on Tuesday, issued a circular to ministries and public institutions to keep staff at a minimum amid a surge in coronavirus infections in the Kingdom.
The order, which takes immediate effect, was to cut the workforce at official departments, entities, public universities, government-owned companies and municipalities, including the Greater Amman Municipality, to the minimum necessary to maintain the workflow and the provision of services to citizens through rotations and remote work.
The decision comes in light of a marked increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, and in line with the government's commitment to protect public health and safety, maintain a stable epidemiological situation and avoid crowding at the workplace.
