A Cabinet session, chaired by Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, on Sunday approved a draft law amending the Companies Law for 2021.
Amendments aim to allow holding meetings of general assemblies, media councils and boards of directors by electronic means.
Under the amended draft law, an account will be created to cover the expenses of the compulsory liquidation of the company in the absence of funds and obliging registered companies to disclose the name of the real beneficiary for the purposes intended in the AML / CFT law.
On the other hand, the Cabinet decided to approve a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on a project to reform building permits.
In addition, the Cabinet approved a cultural cooperation agreement between the governments of Jordan and Afghanistan.
The agreement aims to consolidate cultural ties between the two countries, exchange expertise and visits, and establish various cultural and art activities.
Also, the Cabinet was saw a presentation provided by Minister of State for the Development of Institutional Performance, Rabea Ajarmeh, on the Optimal Regulation Policy (Impact Assessment).
