Chief Commissioner/CEO at Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory commission (CARC), Haitham Mesto, said the CARC has reinstated a plan to sustain air services, in light of the expected weather conditions with regard to checking on preparedness of navigation service systems.
In a press statement to "Petra" on Sunday, he said the plan aims to sustain the air transport system and ensure that aviation safety and security levels are preserved to keep the Kingdom's airspace and airports open.
The effort also seeks to ensure safety of the sector's workers and air travelers and to check on high readiness to deal with developments and exceptional circumstances in the event they occur, according to Mesto.
The level of the work system's preparedness is sound, within the CARC's work scope and covers the three civil airport operators (Queen Alia International Airport, King Hussein Airport in Aqaba and Amman Civil Airport "Marka"), he pointed out.
The service providers working in air transport are also ready, whether in terms of their human resources, procedures and equipment, and ways to deal with such exceptional circumstances to maintain sustained operations within safety and security standards, according to Mesto.
