Ammon News - Senate President, Faisal Fayez, and China Ambassador to Jordan, Chen Chuandong, on Monday discussed Jordanian-Chinese bilateral ties, and means of strengthening and developing them based on the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries in various fields.
Fayez lauded the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and China in many fields, especially on the political and economic levels, which are based on mutual respect, cooperation and consensus on many political issues.
He said that China has a pivotal role in establishing security and stability in the region, and that Jordan sees China as a key partner, and there is continuous communication and consultation between the two countries on various issues of common concern.
The Senate President called on leveraging the available investment opportunities in Jordan's many sectors, as the Kingdom enjoys a safe investment environment and legislations that protect the rights of investors, stressing keenness to develop parliamentary relations with China and unify positions on various issues of common interest in international parliamentary forums.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador commended the high level of China-Jordan ties, especially in political, investment and trade fields.
He said that his country, based on the existing partnership relations between the two friendly countries, is interested in continuing to strengthen joint relations with Jordan, increase Chinese investments and activate bilateral agreements signed between the two sides.
