In a press statement put out on Saturday, the ministry said the goal of increasing vaccination centers is to achieve "greater" coverage in areas close to the 70yrs old people to get the doses and facilitate outreach of the national immunization campaign. The newly inaugurated centers also take into account a "greater" appointment scheduling capacity, while adhering to public safety measures to maintain the citizen health and safety. In total, the vaccination centers operating countrywide have so far reached 85, according to the statement.

The Ministry of Health has opened two Covid-19 vaccination centers in Al-Hussein Youth City (AYC) in the capital, Amman, with the aim of increasing the number of immunization clinics nationwide.
