PSUT students win 2nd, 3rd places in Jordanian Engineers Association competition

Ammon News - Students from Princess Sumaya University for Technology have won second and third places in the annual competition held by the Jordanian Engineers Association for students of electrical engineering at Jordanian universities.


The competition is held with the aim of motivating graduates and raising the level of competitiveness in the innovative and creative ideas developed through their graduation projects, according to a statement made available to The Jordan Times.

HRH Princess Sumaya, chair of PSUT’s Board of Trustees, congratulated the two winning teams and their supervisors.

The princess also praised the students’ efforts and their pursuit to participate in competitions that serve to enrich their knowledge and hone their skills, according to the statement.

The team, comprising students Rajai Nassar and Zaid Al Adwan, under the supervision of Majd Batarseh, won second place for their design and simulation project in which they made a power factor correction converter.


The project using artificial intelligence and augmented reality won third place for students Muhammad Abu Shukr, Muhammad Atallah and Yahya Ghosheh under the supervision of Mohamed Taha.
