Ammon News - The Joint Lower House (Legal and Administrative) Committee has decided to reject bills including the draft laws amending the 2019 Military Retirement Law, 2019 Roads Law, and 2019 Agriculture Law.
Speaking during a morning session held on Wednesday, chairman of the joint panel, Mohammed Hilal, said the draft laws were sent to the former parliament as a package related to the delegation of Cabinet powers to some concerned ministers, which were withdrawn and only three remained for deliberation.
The committee rejected the proposed draft laws, and solely kept the powers contained in the draft laws to the Council of Ministers, and didn't allow authorities to be delegated to the specialized ministers, according to the MP.
MP Ali Tarawneh, who heads the House's Administrative Committee, affirmed the parliamentary panels' keenness to cooperate with the government, and to make decisions related to the oversight and legislative roles, in line with the Jordanian higher interests to serve citizens.
