2, 597 people fined for breaking anti-Covid-19 defense orders Monday

Ammon News - Public Security Directorate (PSD) officers and patrols have fined 2,597 people for failing to wearing face masks and 61 businesses for flouting anti-Covid-19 defense orders countrywide.

In a press statement put out on Monday, the PSD's media spokesperson said police personnel and patrols have intensified their crackdown and monitoring campaigns to check on adherence to anti-Covid-19 measures, primarily wearing masks and social distancing in public places, shopping centers and economic establishments.

These monitoring campaigns are "continuing intensively" on a daily basis across the country, the source noted, adding that the public is urged to adhere to exhibiting safety measures and shunning gatherings to preserve their safety and avoid penalties, per the laws in place.
