01-02-2021 04:57 PM

Ammon News -

Health Minister Natheer Obaidat Monday discussed with British Ambassador Bridget Brend ways of strengthening relations between the two countries in the health field, and measures to deal with the epidemiological situation and the spread of coronavirus.

Obaidat briefed the envoy on preventive and precautionary measures taken by the government to counter and contain the pandemic through enforcing health and public safety requirements to reduce infections.

He said that Jordan also met all the needs, especially in the health field, of those residing in the kingdom.

The UK ambassador said her country is ready to work with Jordan to support health projects, provide the adequate means to ease the pressure on the government and overcome challenges, especially that the Kingdom hosts a large number of Syrian refugees.
