Agriculture minister, Australian envoy discuss joint cooperation

Ammon News - The Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Daoudia, discussed with the Australian Ambassador Bernard Lynch and his deputy, Mark Donovan, aspects of joint agricultural cooperation.

Speaking during the meeting, the minister referred to the "strong" bilateral relations and expressed Jordan's interest in developing its afforestation programs and raising capabilities of firefighting teams, in cooperation with the Australian side, who has "extensive" experience in forest management and protection.

The minister also called for supporting Jordan's efforts in developing tourism and bearing the burdens imposed by Syrian refugee waves, through the implementation of joint agricultural projects.

The envoy, for his part, stressed the "strong" bilateral ties, expressing interest in strengthening partnerships with friendly countries, including Jordan.
