FM, Tunisian counterpart discuss ties, region

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and his Tunisian counterpart, Othman Jerandi, discussed means to develop bilateral relations and regional developments.

Speaking during a phone conversation made on Sunday, the duo affirmed the two countries' keenness to enhance cooperation in all fields and preparations to convene the joint higher committee to discuss mechanisms to increase cooperation.

Discussing developments related to Arab issues, the two ministers stressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab action to serve Arab causes and interests.

Safadi affirmed Jordan's "firm" positions in support of Tunisia's security and stability and the democratic transition process that reflects aspirations of the Tunisian people.

For his part, Tunisia's top diplomat valued the Kingdom's stances, role and efforts in enhancing security and stability and defending Arab causes.
