Rise in temps forecast for three days

Ammon News - Temperatures on Sunday are expected to rise few degrees, but cold weather conditions will prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be fair, with low clouds and a weak chance of light showers in the early morning hours in the northern highlands.

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecast that the weather will turn to be colder at night, with southwesterly moderate winds, warning of slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain, poor visibility in the early morning and late night hours due to fog in the highlands, and of frost formation over the southern mountains.

Over the next two days, mercury levels will continue to rise, becoming 3-4 degrees above their annual average and bringing sunny and relatively cold weather conditions in most regions, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the department said, adding that winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk.

Temperatures in Amman today will be 13 degrees Celsius, dropping to 6C during night hours, meanwhile the city of Aqaba will see a high of 23C, sliding into 14C at night.
