A cold air mass and a depression centered over Syria will begin affecting the country early Friday, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Winds will be westerly brisk, reaching gusts as fast as 50 kilometers per hour, the JMD added.
Heavy rains in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom, and snow fall on the southern mountainous areas are forecast, the department said.
The JMD warned of slippery roads, torrent formation, poor visibility in hilly areas.
Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between 8 degrees Celsius and 5 degrees at night.
Highs in the port city of Aqaba will hike up to 19 degrees, sliding to 9 degrees at night.
