Cold weather forecast for three days

Ammon News - Mercury levels on Monday are expected to rise 2-3 degrees above their annual average, but cold weather conditions will prevail in the Kingdom’s most regions, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will mild, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Chilly night is also predicted with a possibility of frost formation, mainly in the highlands and the Badia areas, while winds will be southeasterly light, the department added.

A further increase in temperatures is expected on Tuesday, but similar weather conditions will continue to persist with high clouds and southeasterly moderate winds, the weather forecasters noted.

On Wednesday, it will be relatively cold in most areas of the country and fair in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes and southwesterly moderate to brisk winds, according to the JMD.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 15 degrees Celsius, dipping to 1C during night hours, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a high of 22C, dropping down to 11C at night.
