Ammon News - Mum-to-be Jessica took to TikTok to share the moment she told her partner that they were expecting a baby for the first time and viewers thought it was a "beautiful way to surprise him".

A man was left in tears after he pulled a Christmas cracker and the contents revealed he was going to be a dad.

The mum-to-be known as @jessicabrookess on TikTok came up with a creative way to tell her partner that she was expecting.

She put her positive pregnancy test and a note that read "Merry Christmas Daddy, I love you so much," into a Christmas cracker and gave it to her partner.

In an emotional video that has been viewed more than 2.9 million times on the platform, the couple can be seen pulling opposite sides of the gold cracker.

From behind the camera, Jessica says: "Look inside."

He took out a pregnancy test and at first didn’t seem to realise what it was.

As he finds the note, she asks: "What does it say?"

"Merry Christmas daddy I love you so much. See you next year, love… " he trailed off, unable to read out loud anymore.

Then he put his face in his hands and burst into tears.

"When I surprised him with the news he was going to be a dad on Christmas day," Jessica captioned the video.

The video was shared a few months ago, which means it was filmed on a previous Christmas, but it has recently resurfaced over the holidays.

More recent TikToks show their beautiful daughter, who has since arrived.

Since being posted, it has received more than 427,000 likes and almost 5,000 comments.

One person said: "Aww I cried HAPPY TEARS."

While a third said: "This is the best thing I've seen on here. He couldn't even finish his words. Congratulations guys."
