Ammon News - Senate President, Faisal Al-Fayez, on Sunday met with Cyprus Ambassador to Jordan, Michalis Ioannou.

The two sides discussed aspects of bilateral relations between Jordan and Cyprus in various fields.

Al-Fayez lauded ties between the two countries. He stressed Jordan's keenness to develop ties to serve mutual interests, especially in investment, commercial and parliamentary fields.

During the meeting, both officials highlighted the overall current situation in the region and the importance of finding a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, and strengthening joint cooperation to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

Ambassador Ioannou, in turn, lauded the deep-rooted ties with Jordan, underlining the importance of bolstering them and building upon them in various fields and working to maintain communication and consultation between the two countries in all fields.
