Ammon News - HRH Prince Hassan, chairperson of the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies' board of trustees, on Saturday greeted presidents and representatives of Eastern and Western churches and the Christians in the Kingdom on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year.

During a virtual meeting, attended by Christian and Muslims figures from Jordan and Palestine, Prince Hassan highlighted the importance of dialogue to develop human brotherhood and friendship.

The prince said that envisioned dialogue is one that enhances consciousness, ideology and the human brotherhood, noting that “global consensus” does not mean neglecting others, but rather integrating them in a way that suits their cultures.

He also added that the “human family” needs to learn to live together in love and peace without having to be similar.

Prince Hassan also stressed the importance of moving from the “I” to the “we” to make the public interest greater, especially that all societies have become subject to the actions of each other, where the human being cannot live in isolation and influences and is influenced by anything that happens on earth.

As for the challenges the world faces in the present, the prince called for refraining from the unilateral thinking, referring to science and knowledge, exchanging love and adopting a real foresight for a better future for the next generations.

In this regard, he called for solidarity that stems from “our responsibilities towards our children and grandchildren” not to inherit a planet whose environment has been destroyed and resources depleted, which will deprive them of a living in affluence.
