Home Culture & Society Ministers and SIGMA officials discuss establishment of Agriculture departments complex 26-12-2020 10:49 AM Ammon News - Minister of Agriculture Muhammad Dawudiya and Minister of State for Institutional Performance Development Rab’ah Ajarmeh on Friday met with officials from SIGMA program (Support for Improvement in Governance and Management), a joint initiative of the OECD and the European Union, to discuss efforts underway to set up a complex of agricultural departments instead of rented buildings. The integrated complex is envisaged to house buildings for the Ministry of Agriculture, the Jordan Cooperative Corporation, the Agricultural Credit Corporation, the National Agricultural Research Center, in addition to international organizations which the Kingdom hosts. During the online meeting, Ajarmeh stressed that her ministry is ready to provide all aspects of cooperation, including the formation of a project steering committee and a technical team in cooperation with the EU to define goals and assign roles and tasks in order to develop performance and reduce the costs involved, the first of which is the current rented buildings.
