Ammon News - A course on the management and treatment protocols of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) concluded Wednesday after offering intensive training to about 654 private sector's nursing and medical staff.

The program was part of a national anti-COVID campaign titled :"Hand in Hand, We Eliminate COVID". The three-month course was organized by the Private Hospitals Association in cooperation with the Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS), a USAID’s flagship initiative on integrated health systems strengthening.

Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association Fawzi Hammouri said the course was part of the association's efforts to help private hospitals provide the best care possible to coronavirus patients.

He added that the training, which was prepared and held over a three-month period, was delivered by a group of specialist doctors and experts who have solid knowhow of COVID management and treatment.

The training course aimed to develop the readiness of private hospitals to deal with suspected and confirmed infections in all governorates of the Kingdom, and to draw up action plans to respond to the pandemic, in addition to supporting the Ministry of Health's efforts if necessary.
