Ammon News - Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Aboul Gheit called for reviving the Palestinian-Israeli negotiating track to reach a peaceful settlement that ends the Israeli occupation and sets the ground for a real, lasting and comprehensive peace in the region.
Aboul Gheit told an Arab Parliament session that the region is facing unprecedented challenges, particularly at the security and strategic levels, and the two-state solution.
He said that the Arab agenda is full of economic, political and social issues and issues of concern to all the Arab citizens in the Arab countries without exception.
The Arab League chief also called for a collective Arab response to "neighboring countries in the region" that adopt policies and engage in practices that harm the national security of all Arab countries.
