The Jordanian delegation, chaired by Minister of Agriculture Muhammad Daoudiyeh, participated in bilateral and trilateral meetings that discussed consensus frameworks on joint cooperation projects, in reflecting the outcomes of the Amman summit held in August, which brought together His Majesty King Abdullah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
The meetings included discussions on electrical linkage projects, intra-trade, the joint economic zone and enhancing integration in food and drug security, in addition to cooperation opportunities in petrochemical and textile industries, and the ceramic industry.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Daoudiyeh told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the Jordanian delegation presented a detailed view on each sector by the concerned ministers, in a way that contributes to providing a clear picture of Jordan's potential and resources in areas of interest to the three countries.
He lauded the cooperation provided the Egyptian and Iraqi sides during the meetings, expressing appreciation to Egypt's role in providing facilities that would serve joint cooperation and provide any requirements needed by the sectoral teams, stressing that this trilateral cooperation is based on a forward-looking and long-term vision aimed at serving the interests of the states and peoples.
