Jordan has registered 36 COVID-19 related deaths and 2,338 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 255,459.
The new infections include 801 in Amman, 568 in Irbid, 222 in Zarqa, 157 in Mafraq, 114 in Ajloun, 92 in Tafila, 90 in Balqaa, 90 in Karak, 90 in Madaba, 81 in Jerash, 19 in Aqaba, and 14 in Maan.
A total of 117 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 166 have been discharged upon recovery.
It also said that 19,225 swab tests were taken today, bringing the total number of tests since the outbreak began to 2,797,026, pointing out that the positivity rate today was at 16.97 percent.
