Ammon News - The Ministry of Education has recently received 7,500 tablet devices provided by the Department of Statistics (DoS), to contribute to the ministry’s efforts to continue the distance learning process and enable students to continue their education.

Minister of Education, Tayseer Nuaimi, thanked the DoS for donating these devices, which will be distributed to needy students across the Kingdom.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, he said the current epidemiological situation has forced the ministry to switch to distance learning to preserve the students' safety.

The concerted efforts of all national institutions and individuals have contributed to ensuring that students continue to obtain their learning right amid the permanent schools suspension, according to Nuaimi.
In turn, the DoS's Director General, Qassem Shawabkeh, said the devices will be used to support the Ministry of Education's efforts to continue the distance learning process and enable students to continue their education remotely.

Shawabkeh indicated that the in-kind donation came after the DoS adopted blanket e-transformation in the collection of statistical information and data implemented in population and housing census.
