Jordan has recorded 55 COVID-19 related deaths and 4,029 new infections, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 231,237, a statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health said on Thursday.
The number of COVID-19 deaths in Jordan now totals 2,909.
The cases include 1,376 in Amman, 270 in Mafraq, 226 in Jerash, 203 in Balqa, 124 in Madaba, 100 in Tafilah, 904 in Irbid, including 51 in Ramtha, 266 in Ajloun, 211 in Karak, 177 in Zarqa, 121 in Aqaba, and 51 in Ma'an, including 24 in Petra.
A total of 198 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 156 have been discharged upon recovery.
A total of 25,206 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 2,627,156.
