A cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, on Wednesday approved the administrative organization system for the Awqaf Ministry for 2020.
The amendments include restructuring, cancelling or merging some of the Ministry's directorates, in addition to creating new directorates, due to the development of the Ministry's work and activities, in order to address administrative imbalances in a manner consistent with its current functionalities.
On the other hand, the cabinet accepted the resignation of the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) President, Khalid Wazani, and the Prime Minister decided to assign the JIC Secretary-General, Faridon Hartouqa, to serve as the Acting President of the commission.
The government also decided to refer the Secretary General of the Water Ministry, Ali Sobuh, to retirement, upon his request.
