A report on Azerbaijan-Armenia war has been issued by the embassy of Azerbaijan in Jordan to clarify a number of facts with regards to the Azerbaijan-Armenia war
The report states that the announcement of President Ilham Aliyev was clear and precise about Nagorno-Karabakh, as he said it is our land which is recognised internationally.
He added that it is not a matter of sources, but an issue of justice and national dignity which is associated with international law. International law and community recognise Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan. Today, we implement the decisions issued by the UN Security Council before 27 years, the report states.
The report adds that on the 9th of November, Azerbaijani army managed to liberate Shusha city at the time of the Azerbaijani Flag Day. That day witnessed an end to the conflict with Armenia about Nagorno-Karabakh. As a result, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia sign Nagorno-Karabakh peace deal in which Armenia agreed to withdraw from Nagorno-Karabakh under the supervision of Russian peacekeepers, the report states.
The report expresses appreciation towards the position of Jordan in this regard which was clear. The Jordan’s ministry of foreign affairs said that it follows up on the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict, stressing that the conflict shall be resolved politically through peaceful methods and negotiations according to the decisions issued by the UN Security Council, the report says. We would like also to express our thanks to Jordan media which published the facts in neutral and transparent manner.
Position of Organization of Islamic Cooperation
According to the report, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed worry about the provocations made by the Armenian army and demanded Armenia to withdraw from the occupied Azerbaijani land. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation also demanded for the adoption of peaceful methods to end the conflict according to the decisions issued by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the UN Security Council in this regard. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation also issued a decision which indicated the prevention of offering any military supplies to Armenia, the report indicates.
Position of Pakistan
An accusation has been pointed to Azerbaijan indicating that Turkish troops have fought with Azerbaijan against Armenia without any proof. This is a false accusation as no proof has been identified. Pakistan announced that the Azerbaijani position is clear as the president of Azerbaijan said that “the Azerbaijani forces are able to protect the country without help from any foreign forces”. Pakistan also added that it supports Azerbaijan with regards to Nagorno-Karabakh according to the decisions of the UN Security Council, the report adds.
Position of Russia
In a statement issued by the Russian foreign ministry, Russia indicated that it will offer the required support to Armenia only if the conflict moved to occur on the Armenian land, the report states.
Position of former member of Kuwaiti parliament, Abdullah Fahhad
The former member of Kuwaiti parliament, Abdullah Fahhad considered the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan as “a new crusade against Islam”, indicating that this is a religious war against Islam, the report says.
Position of International Union of Muslims Scholars
The International Union of Muslims Scholars calls for the withdraw of Armenia from the occupied Azerbaijani land as it states that we call for the two countries to stop the war and refer to negotiations according to the international law, the report adds.
The report concluded that Nagorno-Karabakh is an Azerbaijani land. The intended demolishing of the Azerbaijani history and culture is a violation of Hague Convention 1954. Azerbaijan as a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation contributes in enhancing the Islamic solidarity and helps in resolving some of the current problems in some countries. Islamic world should be determined about the demolish of national tradition and culture of Azerbaijan and the Islamic culture in Azerbaijan by the hostile policies of Armenia.
