Preventive Security Department agents have arrested a person who forged coronavirus test reports for people of different nationalities to facilitate their travel.
In a media statement issued on Thursday, the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said the "preventive" personnel were tipped off that a person had forged Covid-19 test reports for people of different nationalities for travel purposes.
After confirming the information, the suspect was arrested and admitted, during investigation, to issuing fake coronavirus negative certificates in exchange for money, according to the media spokesman.
The police official called on the public to shun dealing with such people, and to head, when needed to administer lab tests, for accredited and licensed medical centers to avoid fraud and forgery.
