Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Monday said the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) - Arab Army, under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, continues to carry out its main duty, in order to maintain the security and stability of the Kingdom by all means, so that the country remains a model in strength and resilience.
During a visited to the King Hussein Bin Ali Brigade and King Abdullah II Special Forces Group's Special Unit/71, Huneiti said the Supreme Commander will continue supporting and caring for the armed forces in preparation, training and arming, which will positively reflect on carrying out its duties and tasks to the fullest and dealing with challenges at the regional level.
He indicated that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty, will overcome the coronavirus pandemic crisis, as it is strong thanks to its people, King, army and security apparatus, and that the crisis is nothing but a real test that has proven to everyone that the military institution is the focus of confidence and pride of the King and Jordanians, as it demonstrated its distinction, professionalism and humanity in the past months.
The armed forces continues to support security apparatus in their duties to preserve the health and safety of citizens, the army chief underlined, expressing his confidence and pride in JAF's personnel efforts, their level of competence, readiness and high morale, their role in light of the coronavirus crisis and measures they take during their deployment in various areas of the Kingdom, as well as the Royal Medical Services (RMS)'s efforts in supporting the health sector since the outbreak of the pandemic.
During the visit, Maj. Gen. Huneiti was briefed on the progress of operational, training and administrative matters, future plans, duties and tasks assigned to the brigade and the unit.
