Ammon News - AMMONNEWS – The Faculty of Medicine at Mu’tah University reached an agreement with second-year medical students to add an extra day to the exam schedule leaving extra room for study, Abdul Hamid al-Ma'aytah, president of the Student Union at Mu'tah said.

Students had complained that the study plan and exam schedule mandated by the Faculty of medicine puts them under a lot of pressure.

This agreement comes after students demonstrated Tuesday afternoon against their department's policies.

Ma'aytah said to Ammon that the president of Mu'tah University, Dr. Abdul Rahim al-Hunaiti, took interest in the students' cause and promised an open meeting with medical students to discuss their concerns and problems.

Ma'aytah also noted that the president would attend the Student Union meeting next Monday where representatives of Faculty of medicine to the Student Union will be present.
