Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Awqaf Minister, Muhammad Khalayleh, said that insulting Prophet Muhammad (God's blessings and peace be upon him), and of all prophets, doesn't constitute personal freedom, but a crime that encourages violence.

"This unacceptable insult fuels violence and hate speech, at a time in which the whole world calls for eliminating the culture of violence and hatred, " Khalayleh said Sunday in a statement.

He indicated that Sharia respects others and ensures honoring prophets and religious beliefs.

He added that the offense against Prophet Muhammad (God's blessings and peace be upon him) is a blatant assault and a crime against all religions, beliefs and humanity.

Minister Khalayleh pointed out that the United Nations in 2011 adopted the King Abdullah II World Interfaith Harmony Week, indicating that the world today is heading towards joint religious cooperation.
