Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Ministers of Industry and Trade in Jordan, Egypt and Iraq held Sunday a teleconference trilateral meeting, as part of the follow-up on the outcomes of the trilateral summit that was held in Amman in August between leaders of the three countries.
The meeting underlined the importance of expediting the development and implementation of the necessary plans to enhance joint cooperation in all fields with the aim of achieving strategic integration, especially in the economic, trade and investment fields, and translating what was discussed during the trilateral summit into projects on the ground to serve the interests of the three countries.
During the meeting, in which Ministers Tariq Hammouri, Egypt's Neveen Jame' and Iraq's Manhal Al-Khabbaz, a number of decisions were taken to enhance economic, commercial and investment integration and cooperation, as four sectors were identified as targeted in the first phase to enhance the trilateral cooperation, according to a statement issued at the end of the meeting.
The three ministers agreed to hold an expanded ministerial meeting soon for the three countries, to discuss the implementation of the summit's recommendations and set a timetable for cooperation projects that will be agreed upon.
