Jordan registers 549 new COVID-19 cases

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A total of 10 COVID-19 deaths and 549 new cases have been recorded in Jordan on Friday, of which are local cases, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 13,650, a statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health said.

The local cases involve 408 cases in Amman, 72 cases in Zarqa, 45 cases in Balqaa, 4 in Jerash, two in Irbid - one in Ramtha, 5 in Karak, 4 in Maan, two in Ajloun, and 4 in Mafraq.
The cases from abroad include one person who has travelled from abroad, and two drivers at Al-Omari Border Crossing.
A total of 177 recovery cases have been confirmed in Jordan 13 have been discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital, 160 from the isolation area in the Dead Sea, two from Queen Alia Hospital and two from private hospitals.
A total of 12,153 PCR tests have been conducted, bringing the total number of tests since the beginning coronavirus crisis to 1,250,781.
