Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A heatwave will affect the Kingdom on Saturday, triggering a significant increase in mercury levels to reach higher than their normal rates by about 6-7 C degrees, the Jordan Meteorological Department said in its daily update.
The scorcher prevails in most regions, as it will be sweltering in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba regions, and winds will be at moderate eastern speed, added the JMD report.
Over the next two days, a slight rise in temperatures is forecast, with the weather will remain hot and dry in most regions and scorching in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba regions, said the JMD.
On Saturday, temperatures in Amman hover around 39C during daytime, sliding to 25C at evening hours, while Dead Sea, and the Gulf of Aqaba will see a sweltering 43C during daytime, dropping to 30C at night.
