Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecast normal summer conditions on Monday over the highlands and plains, and hot weather in other parts of the country, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
In Amman and other highlands, north and south, daytime temperatures will range between 28 and 33 degrees Celsius. In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as temperatures slide to around 22 and even 15 in the southern highlands. Highs in Aqaba will reach 41 degrees, while lows will stand at 27 at night.
Over the next two days, mercury levels will rise few degrees, marking 3-4 degrees above the annual average and bringing hot conditions in most areas of the country, the JMD said, adding that the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the port city of Aqaba are set to swelter in scorching weather.
