Therefore, normal summer to relatively hot conditions will continue to prevail with northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department said in its daily brief. While mercury levels appear to have generally dropped since the heat wave seen during the weekend, the JMD suggests they will continue to soar above 30 degrees over the coming two days in many areas, with brisk and dusty winds. Temperatures in the capital Amman will slide to 20 degrees at night. In Aqaba, highs will reach 39 degrees, while lows will stand at 24 at night.
