Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Two new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases were reported in the Kingdom on Tuesday, including one local case and the other was imported.
With that, the caseload reaches 981 since the outbreak of the pandemic in the Kingdom in early March, the Health Ministry said in its daily brief to the media.
The local case was discovered when a health personnel, who is providing care to a COVID-19 case, tested positive with the virus, and the other for a foreign truck driver arrived at the Al-Omari border crossing, and was handled according to the established protocol, the ministry added.
It announced that 1 patient has recovered and were discharged from the Prince Hamza Hospital.
As for testing, 8,950 tests were conducted today bringing the total up to 292,623 so far.
The ministry also announced the launch of the online platform (www.emed.hakeem.jo), to book appointments at public hospitals and health centers, which is part of the e-health program (Hakeem).
