10 Balqa mosques closed after woman tests positive for COVID-19

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Authorities on Sunday closed 10 mosques in the Balqa governorate after a woman, who lives in Deir Alla in the Jordan Valley, tested positive for the COVID-19.

The governorate's Awqaf Department Director, Muawiya Btoush, said that the department closed 10 mosques as a precautionary measure, noting that only the Muezzin will be allowed to call to prayer.

Btoush told Petra that the concerned authorities had isolated the area, adding that the epidemiological investigation teams are collecting samples to ensure that there are no other infections.
