Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Dr. Omar Razzaz, said the decisions and measures taken by the government to deal with the repercussions of the Covid-19 are based mostly on the Epidemiological Committee's recommendations.
Chairing a meeting of the National Epidemiological Committee at the Prime Ministry on Thursday, and in the presence of the Ministers of Industry, and Health, Razzaz said the government took the majority of the committee’s recommendations and turned them into decisions and procedures to deal with the pandemic and its implications.
These decisions and measures, he noted, take into consideration health and security, economic, social data to achieve the highest national interest.
The premier also praised the committee's "great" efforts and the medical teams working in the field, which had a prominent role in taking immediate and necessary measures and precautions led to preventing the disease in the Kingdom.
Razzaz stressed the importance of maintaining this level of coordination and joint efforts to deal with any developments related to the epidemic.
For his part, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Dr. Tariq Hammouri, said the committee's recommendations to maintain workflow are studied carefully to avoid any negative repercussions.
In turn, Minister of Health, Dr. Saad Jaber, said the committee is a "key" partner of the government in dealing with the pandemic, where precautionary steps and medical measures have been put in place that made Jordan at the forefront in this regard.
